A few more images from our second trip to Alaska. I have done a lot of trekking in my life, but our trek out to Glacier Lake and the Grenwingk Glacier will forever hold a special place in my memory. It started with a water taxi across Katchemak Bay to very isolated and remote beach. This part of the Bay is not accseseble except by boat or helicopter, it truly is Alaskan wilderness! After our boat literally dropped us off at this beach surrou8nded by thick forest, I was overcome with sense of solitude, exhilaration, smallness, and the vastness of Alaska. We then trekked about a half mile down the beach, it was then that my senses shifted into overdrive of bear awareness! We had forgot our bear spray in the truck and out boat Captain gave us a safety flair and told us to light it in case of a bear charging us! That along with our bear bells, made it seem alright! We did see a lot of bear scat, but fortunately did not have any encounters. But it still felt like there was bears watching us, or one could be around every corner. Not mention the fifteen hundred pound Moose cows protecting their calves! Exciting place Alaska is, the brutal beauty of its land and creatures makes you really feel alive. These images are a small collection from Anchorage, Homer, Seward and all spots in between. "Stay Stoked, and Stay Forever Young." Da Lieb
