This years trip to Alaska with my Son Justin. The first two days we spent in Anchorage waiting foer Bruce and Jane to arrive and the four of us drove the two hundred miles South to Fritz Creek, which outside of Homer. While we were in Anchorage, we went to a disc golf course (imagine that?!) where Justin played 18 holes, and I trekked the ten miles along with him making photographs. We also went up to a mountain outside of town, names Flat Top, where you get an beautiful view of the city, and on a clear day can see Denali (Mt. Mckinley, which is the highest mountain in North America) from about 145 miles away! Wasn't clear so we couldn't view it, but saw two amazing sunsets and a snow shower blowing in. Justin stocked up on fishing supplies and later went on a guided float down the Kasilof on the first day of King Salmon fishing, but none of the three guys on the boat caught any. On our way down last year, Justin saud " Dad, I sure hope I get to see some Moose" and boy did we! They were coming right up to our cabin. The cows almost always give birth to twin calves, and the locals, say "One for the Moose, and one for the Bears." These images are from mostly the first three days, of two weeks of super adventures. Stay tuned for more soon.
