A couple of days ago I went up to Shwans house in the canyon and met up with Gabe Clark, who I have shot with before and is a really cool guy. Gabe spent many years living in South America surfing and teaching school, and now is getting his credential so he can teach here in Cali. We cruised up and down the coast and saw waves from three foot to twenty plus, and settled on the former! The waves at Iceplants were very crisp and the wind was howling straight offshore,making for some really beautiful shooting conditions. I really dig offshore winds. Also ran into Shawn's friend Richard Dennis who was out ripping. There were beautiful waves coming in all over the place. Isn't that the way it always is? The best waves are just a little further away from where your Surfing?!!! We stayed here for quite a while, then grabbed some grub and headed to Ho'Chi's, that will be another session, I will try and post next. Had a wonderful time shooting and hanging out with all my friends at the beach. It truly is a Brotherhood, mostly filled with Aloha. Very comfortable place for me.
