PARIS!!! What can I say. It was our fourth and final stop before leaving Europe. We stayed a week at the Mayfair Hotel, sorta across the Boulevard from the Toulerie Gardens, in zone 1 of down town central Paris, a beautiful ten minute stroll to the Louvre! Super nice acomodations, with an amazing buffet breakfast every morning. We traveled on foot all over the city (as far as our little feet would carry us)! Went to all the amazing Art Galleries, including the Louvre, D'Orsay, Picasso and many more. Saw Nortre Dame and probably, what seemed like every other catherdal within walking distance. Paris truly lived up to ALL the romantic pictures I have had in my mind since childhood. The tree lined streets, the cafes, the Siene with lovers walking arm in arm, Monmarte, the Eiffle Tower, too many beautiful sights, and we saw them all. The Louvre is truly AMAZING, and a bit over whelming! Housed within the Louvre are some of the most important pieces of art ever created by Masters, and it is HUGE, maybe even Ginormus ! It felt like it would take a month of eight hour days to see all the art! Near the end of our trip we hopped on the train and went up to Versailles to see Louie the 14th's radical Palace there. The Palace is closed on Tuesday's as we found out upon arrival, but the gardens were open and they were breathtaking. The gardens go on literally for miles! Louie had one amazing landscaper. Louie placed amazing sculptures everywhere. This palace took so long to build, that Louie got tired of waiting and had a smaller one built to move into! I guess you can do such things when you have access to all the countries wealth! I truly fell in love with Paris, and look forward to returning there with Shirley. We had such an amazing trip to Italy and France, and I owe Shirley a big huge thank you for making all the amazing reservations, and showing me all the sights of Rome, Florence, Venice, Burano, Murano, Tiscany and last but not least Paris. An amazing trip, with an amazing, intelligent and Loving woman! I hope you all enjoy these photos and at some point, you too have the chance to see these amazing sights, smells, colors, and people as well. Always remember my motto: "Stay Stoked, and Stay Forever Young."!!! Da Lieb
