The other day I went out into the local wilderness outside of town to see if I could find any Fall colors. Drove out into a canyon where I know there are quite a few Aspen trees, but they didn't sem to be changing color yet. Then drove further out into the country following a track that sorta goes along a dry river bed. My new car is a hybrid, so running that slow it runs very silently. Came around this one bend and thought I saw a statue of a bear at the base of some oak trees. Crept up a little closer and then the bear stood up on its hind legs and was scartching at the tree, I was thinking it was going to scramble up, but looked at me a few more times then bolted. I got one out of focus photo of it running, I went on for a mile or so and then decided to turn around and came up to that same place and there she was, just sorta resting in the shade. She didn't bat an eyelash and just stayed there. Got a couple of nice photos then! A very exciting day for me! Remember my motto "Stay Stoked and Stay Forever Young." Da Lieb
