This morning I was on a mission to get to Dreamland at the crack of dawn! I got up super early, brewed up some strong coffee, gobbled down a bowl of cereal, packed up all my gear and headed out. The sky was crystal clear and the stars filled up my windshield as I pointed my car directly at the Big Dipper and drove through the darkness wondering what the sunrise would reveal. Arriving at the beach, the wind was off shore, the sun was out and the surf looked very playful. Slowly but surely, the boys started to arrive, and as we waited for the tide to drop a smidge, we all talked story, told a few lies and had many laughs. Todays crew consisted of Waltah, Da Brah, Pirate, Westside Kauai Timmy, Black Joe, Big Wave Bob, Bernie, Stump and The Dog. Also making a return today was The Big, who has been out of the loop for a while and is returning to his roots. I had a great time, saw some old friends, made a couple of new ones and managed to get a couple of photos to fill up another page in my history book!
