1. Daily Session

November 13th. 2015

So, those of you that follow my work, know that I love cars and shoot a ton of car shows each year. Ive always wanted to go to the car races and photograph some of my favorite auto's speeding by. Last week I decided it was time to bust a move on this long time desire. I had read about this race at Willow Springs that was vintage cars racing, so that sounded perfect to me! I have alive for Cobra's, Corvette's, Mustangs and the such, so this race was gonna be perfect for this Baby Boomer! I got up hours before the sun and made the almost four hour drive out to the high desert to Willow Springs raceway. I wasn't let down when I hit the pits, there was every kind of vintage care that I could of ever wanted to see race. I shot from a few different corners and also on the straight away, right in from of the start/finish tower. The cars racing by on the corners were doing about 60-80 miles per hour, and at the finish line, which is at the end of the longest straight, they were whizzing by at between 115 and 135 miles per hour, depending on the type of cars!! I totally was a whole different animal shooting wise than what I am used to. I had a great time. I even got to do a ride in the Pace Car a couple of times going pretty fast! I had a blast and hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did making them. Remember my motto: "Stay Stoked, and Stay Forever Young." Da Lieb
