Saturday I went to the 2017 Summer Solstice Parade in Santa Barbara ( which I do every year), and wasn't disappointed. It was as always over the top with color, textures, shapes and the very unusual characters. There usually is over 100 thousand folks lining the streets of lower State Street, everyone laughing, shouting, whistling, hooting and plenty of ooooohs and awes! We sat with the Bissell family and all their wonderful friends as I have for so many years. Thanks go out to Steve and Anna for making me part of their warm family.
