1. Daily Session

February 5th. 2020

I still have so many negatives, slides, print negatives and prints that I have not digitized, that I just hope that I will have the time to do many more and share them. This particular set of images have been sitting next to my easy chair for maybe thirty years! I looked at them held upto my window a few tijmes and just thought they were some old local not so good images! It's really hard to see what they are when they are print negatives! I find it truly amazing how well preserved all my archives have remained over many decades. Turns out they are from a session that Steve "Slick" Schlickenmeyer and I took over to the "West Side" in the mid-seventies. One of Steveie's team riders followed us over as well, but I cannot recall his name. I do remember that many "Bats" of Puna Butter were consumed , which totally put me in that "Hawaiian" state of mind, and when Steve and I parked the car, we almost fell out of it laughing our asses off! Im surprised that I was stiill able to focus my lens!!! This session was at what Steve called a secret spot, and what stood out in my mind was that it was at a "clothing optional" beach which I had never seen before. It was a very short session as the tide sorta shut down the waves shortly after we arrived. I find these images, at least in my mind, to be historically significant, and hope all of you, especially all my Puna Braddah's and Sistah's enjoy seeing a bit of Big Island history. Remember my motto: "Stay Stoked, and Stay Forever Young." Da Lieb
