Piling into the Cerny Spaceship on this adventure were Walt Cerny, Eric Knowles, Braden "The Grom" Jones and myself to document where the crew landed. Being The Grom, Braden had to hunch down on top of some boxes near the rear, which must of been tough as we four wheeled into Area 51 which took about twenty minutes. I related the story to The Grom about when I was a grom and had to sneak into Malibu past some of the older guys like Dora, Lance Carson, The Aaberg Bros, Dewey Weber and a few other guys, that had been know to take a grom and put him head first into one of those 50 gallon trash cans head first. So, as i explained to "The Grom," he was having it easy!
Rick Gannon joined the crew right after we landed, which tilted out the odds, three goofy foots against Walt the only regular foot. The swell was on the increase and the conditions looked pretty fun. The Grom might be only sixteen, but know this; the kid rips way beyond his years.....but he's still gotta accept the moniker of Grom for a little while longer. Seems like everyone had a super fun session. There were plenty of good ones coming in, and after an hour or so, the sun finally broke through the overcast. I had a really fun session, and hope you enjoy looking at these images and enjoy them as much as I did making them.
