My compadre Ricky and I headed out to Pacler Point. With many days of West Swell in the water, and the swell supposed to peak, we headed right for Pacler Point. When this place is firing it is a classic barreling California point break. However, it is also very fickle and the wind can really whip through the break, being relentless at times. The tide can also change it very fast as well. When we arrived, both of our jaws hit the floor, it was just reeling down the Point with no-stop barrels! Perfect wind and tide! I have seen it bigger, but rarely with this shape. I love Pacler Point, it is sorta like home to me. It seems that I know most of the people that go there, its always a very mellow sorta hippie scene. Dogs running, every one giving each other hugs, Earth Momma's chasing their naked babies, and almost always the smell of herb in the air! You can always expect to see really talented surfers ripping these waves, old guys that have surfed there 50 years and every kind of surfboard design imaginable. I love Pacler Point and will continue to shoot there until I can't make the trail any more! Remember my motto; "Stay Stoked, and Stay Forever Young." ......Da Lieb
