This spot is called "Matadors." It is alleged that back in the 60's there was an illegal bull fighting arena on a private ranch around here where Toreadors learned how to, and practiced to fight bulls in Tijuana! Im not sure if this is true, but thats the story! People have told me that once in a while some of these Toreadors would come down to the beach and suit up and go surfing! None of them could speak English, but some of the locals made friends with them and have told amazing stories about some of the BBQ's that they were invited to attend. They used to say, that you could smell the BBQ all they way down to the beach! Anyways, this place is also notorious for the offshore winds that blow, and Shawn Tracht and I went shooting yesterday and these are some of the images I made while waiting to smell some BBQed Beef!
