This past Sundy, The Crew gathered at the Beach to honor long time crew member Tony Otero. You might know his as "Bird" "Birdie" or "Crow." He is an OG North County Crew member. Tony has been living in Montana and the Pacific North West for about the last fifteen years. He traveled South to meet his new Grandson, and of course in true fashion we all got together, had a huge BBQ, talked old stories, new stories, told some lies and generally had a great time seeing each other. Some of us had not seen each other in many decades! I truly had a great time seeing all my old Surfing friends, and felt that thread woven into my DNA that takes us ALL back to the raging days of "C" Street, Hollister and many points beyond. Everyone had a great time, we all had big smiles on our faces, plenty of hugs went around, and by the end of the day, there were many talking about making this get together an annual affair. Don't forget my mottos "Stay Stoked, and Stay Forever Young." Da Lieb
