First gallery from the Long Lost box of archival images! This gallery was made at a spot that we called Gootahs. It was purportedly found by Richard McCauley on a hunting trip in the mid-sixties, at least that the story I heard. This stretch of coastline is very rugged, and all the rocks you see are lava, so if you were to bounce off of them, you could easily get a "Gootah Tat."! In the 60-70's this place had sorta easy acess, there was a dirt road, which during the rainy season, which was when it broke, was pure hell. Around the 90's the road was closed and then it became a three hour hike. Nowadays it is only open if the gate is unlocked, so pretty much no one has surfed there for decades. Too bad, but we had it for a pretty long time. These images were made over a few different sessions, and years. Sit back and enjoy. Remember my Motto: "Stay Stoked, and Stay Forever Young." Da Lieb
